2006-10-11 [Darvitch]: Well, talking about terms, has anyone ever thought that the "anthropomorphic" leaves to much vacant space for misinterpretations of first formal stance? The greek term "anthro" means a prefix referring to "human", "morph" comes from the greek "morpho" which I suspect it means "form". "anthro and "morpho" then would give ust the full meaning of the term, which is: "The form of a human". Anything with the form of a human, you see; Anything... I think if we should put a prefix "zoo", "animal", we would get a more specific meaning for what we want: "anthropozoomorphic" refers to "Human animal forms".

That is all about the "anthro" I know ^^. About the term "furry", I just sence it comes from a simple interpretation of "somtheing with a lot of fur"... Anthropozoomorphical reptilians and avians, for instance, are not that covered with fur... So would they not be furries? That is one of the motives I base on for not using this "furry" term so often.

Each human temperament can refer to a main animalistic symbol, so it is equally concieved in shammaninsm (not that I am studious in this traditional knowledge). To know one's own animal archetype is a great key for the psique.

You should be more polite with reason, even thought your desires are pretty far from your reality.

Continuing our little theme, we here can find ourselves more intimate with the meaning of furry art. We indeed have unbreackable bounds to nature as we are a part of it. So then, there should not be a "nature" and a "human", but only a concieved nature which englobes the full meaning of humanity. If our civilization had this philosophy as essential ethic, many losses could be avoided. There we find an application for the furry: To express this need of proximity with our origins, just as the antique sciences have said so many centuries before. This is lovely!
